Ninja Torus - An Inhibited Invisible can move stealthily

Postby OncoByte » Thu Apr 24, 2008 10:21 pm

Awww crap! You just inhibited my Invisible piece!

Ahhh, but all hope is not lost, Grasshopper. If this piece survived detection, it can now walk on orbs without giving away its position, thus allowing you to sneak into position for the kill.

Furthermore, this piece is now immune to subsequent inviso-scans with Inhibits, making it just that much more stealthy. Add a Spyware and a Parasite and you have a true Ninja Torus!

Finally, if you park your Inhivisible on a orb, a well placed Purify can grant you a new power while maintaining your turn!

I just played a nice game against Veee where I had the opportunity to hide in the daisies.
When the enemies came running for the orbs, they got stomped.

If your opponent forgets you were Inhibited, they may not even know where it came from!

this is one of my favorite tactics.

also, that pic is totally sweet.

also, move diagonal improves invisible immeasurably as it becomes MUCH harder to track it. a regular invis, even after it has moved 100 times, can only be on half the tiles on the board. (though having additional invis pieces eliminates that since you don't know which one is moving. unless one is jump proof or your opponent is paying close attention to the sound and they are not near each other...)

i have nothing real to add, just wanted to chime in. members, please show up in the lobby.

Nice - that was just insult to injury! I particularly like how the graphics degrade after such soul-crushing stompage.

One arena, Inhivisible, under Qod, with Recursiveness and Scavenging for all!

Just saw this thread. Love sneaking up on the enemies "King" and stomping him and all his powers! I like to think of the Invisi as more of an Assassin than a Ninja. He sacrifices his own life sometimes just to take down the head honcho of the other team.

The same strategy doesn't work every time. Sometimes, you will lose entirely because of bad luck. Play another "hand" of QR and get over it.
