Wikipedia article about Quadradius

OK. We HAVE to get rid of that power section, thats just horrific. I would say its also the reason the page may have been deleted before, it make it look ugly. Some of the text need a rewrite as well because of the Wiki style guide. I will have a crack at it later.

Anyone else think we should post it on uncyclopedia?
Then we could just use Sir TheArgonaut's story and it would kinda fit with the uncyclopedia way of doing things.

I disagree the powers and the defintions are something to draw outsiders in who might otherwise discard Quadradius as digital checkers.

it definitley is a lot of work, and thanks, but i wouldnt list all the power descriptions, cause it does bombard the page. perhaps just list the powers? and outside link to the power page?

I really like all the effort that went into it, and it is great to see a wiki page finally holding up for the game. thanks guys!

First, the good news:
1. We survived the speedy deletions. We don't have to check every day to see if the page is still there.
2. The page has been recognized by the Video Games project.
They have also made some very good suggestions that cannot be taken lightly if we don't want the page to be placed in AFD.

In other words, the page needs more work.

I changed the tournaments section, removed the meaningless information about who won what and instead wrote a brief summary of how tournaments work in Quadradius.

I also added links to the press reviews in the appropriate section.

Here are some of the things that I think should be written up or changed:
1. Creators section needs to be stripped of meaningless information such as "when Brad first met Jimmi", etc.
2. Ranking system
3. Remove the first controversy. Revise the second controversy.
4. Add future updates section (I think I will do that at some point soon)
5. Add members vs guests section.
6. IMPORTANT: We need to cite more sources!!! If we don't provide enough references someone will bring AFD against us!

I alone cannot do all of that, besides, I'm not a very good writer (this has nothing to do with English being my second language though). So if you are confortable with wikipedia, please contribute to this effort. Just make sure you remember that you are editing an encyclopedia article, not a blog post.

Magic the Gathering and Quadradius

Richard Garfield, noted creator of Magic the Gathering also reviewed Quadradius himself and has actively traded ideas with Jimmi to improve Quadradius.

By meaningless Mike means to the average reader of the page. Since wikipedia is an online encyclopedia meant to reference people to the game's creation, how to play and how it works; not monthly/tournament statistics (these belong on a fan site). Anyone who is reading it is reading it to know about the game itself. Since there are no players who have become "Quadmasters" in the eye of those other than the Quadcrowd, who won what tournament means nothing to an outside reader of the article.

If you really want to put in the winners of the tournaments then I suggest creating mini biographies of each of the winners and link their names to their respective bios; make it a hall of fame of sorts.

I think there is an Honours function for this sorta stuff, not sure though, I don't edit much.
