Scavenger Tier 1 absorbs powers from pieces you jump on with the modified piece.

Scavenger Tier 2 also absorbs powers from the pieces you kill with powers.

Sexy...I like it. Also, in general, I think it's good to add 2nd tiers to more of the existing powers to help combat the whole overheat thing.

i like it. someone(i think driven2sin) suggested making scavenger a tiered power before, but it never had it's own thread to hash it out.

i forget the specifics before, but i always thought it was a good idea. i rarely get any good use out of scavenger, but i think it is a cool power anyway.

i think this would really boost it's effectiveness in the game, with minimal effect on power balance.

I like it too. But what about enemy pieces you purify or tripwire but don't kill? Do you get their powers too? Or only if they are killed (by jumping? scrambling? refurb?)? Logistically this might be more difficult than we think, unless we only limit the power absorption from destroy/acidic.

Artwork suggestion: upgrade from the skull to a hungry hungry hippo decal.

i would think it only works with pieces you kill. a vulture wouldn't scavenge something that was still alive, although a hyena might prey on something sick or dying. hmmm...

yeah, it might be harder to implement than we realize but i think it's a great idea.

if it weren't for copyrights the hungry hippo would be great. i heard that milton bradley character is a real asshole.

I think this is a great idea but I agree with pavz it would be hard logistically.
Im glad your thinking of a power that wouldnt get board in a week.

great idea... i dont see how it could be hard to implement, although my coding skills are very limited. this does open the door to all sorts of 2nd tier powers (jump proof 2nd tiers into unkillable!)

I love the idea. A 2nd Tier Scavenger would absorb the powers of any pieces it kills (via acid, destroy, tripwire + refurb, etc). I rarely use Scavenger and I think this would give it a whole lot more purpose. Love it.

As for the artwork, maybe the whole torus could turn black and have crossbones making an X at the center light? That would make me orgasm.

I'm quite drawn to the idea, and always thought Scavenger should be capable of more... what with having the coolest graphic of all the powers.

Whether they are jumped, destroyed, acidified, tripwired, what have you... the second phase of Scavenger should collect the powers of all killed (enemy) tori, I say.

As far as the graphic is concerned, it shouldn't be too drastic, I think. How about changing the color of the band from black to red? Or perhaps just the skull&crossbones from white to red?
